NOLA RESISTANCE

ALBUM RELEASE SET FOR FALL 2025

Reinventing Tradition, Redefining the Future

Guided by producers Brian D’Arcy and Matt Dillon, NRQ is described as a band with “an ear to the past and eyes to the future.”

Rooted in the timeless spirit of New Orleans—the birthplace of jazz—NRQ carries forward the legacy of icons like Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, and Sidney Bechet, while pushing their sound into bold, modern directions. The result is music that honors tradition while reshaping it for today’s global stage.

The group is anchored by an all-star lineup:

Darrell Lavigne (keys)

Herman Lebeaux (drums)

Chris Severin (bass)

Roderick Paulin (saxophone)

Andrew Baham (trumpet)

Each member is a seasoned veteran, having performed with legends including Dianne Reeves, Dr. John, The Neville Brothers, Allen Toussaint, Fats Domino, Bonnie Raitt, The Grateful Dead, Maceo Parker, The Brand New Heavies, Wynton & Branford Marsalis, and The B.B. King Blues Band.

With their debut release arriving this fall, NRQ is set to bring their reimagined New Orleans sound to festival stages and cities around the world
